Write Moves
feel happier about your body through movement and words
Write Moves is a short course for women of all ages. This course is now being offered online from 8 July - 5 August. The course helps you to feel happier about your body through dance, movement, yoga and words in a fun and friendly way. It’s for women who don’t regularly move, alongside those that already enjoy dance, or do yoga, qigong or other movement practices. The course is a great way to move more, feel better about yourself and to meet other local women. No previous experience is necessary. Write Moves takes place once a week, for five weeks on Wednesday lunchtimes from 8 July - 5 August 12.00 - 1.30 pm. If you have any questions contact me or sign up through Poplar Union.

The course is being led by Rakhee Jasani (yoga teacher and writer) and Vanio Papadelli (movement artist and teacher).

Who is it for?
All women are invited to participate. We want this group to include women of different generations and from diverse backgrounds. All you will need is a willingness to have a go. We have so much to learn from each other.
Where does it take place?
Write Moves takes place online in partnership with Poplar Union, an arts and community centre which nurtures and showcases the untapped creative spirit of Poplar.
When does it take place?
Wednesday lunchtimes 8 July - 5 August: 12.00 - 1.30 once a week. If you can’t attend live, you will be able to watch a replay (available through google drive) and continue a discussion in a closed Facebook group.
How do I sign up or find out more?
Sign up online through Poplar Union.
Why are you doing this?
Research shows that 81% of women aren’t happy with their bodies: how they look or feel. That’s a lot women. We believe women should feel good about themselves and to be kind to their bodies. We know from our own experience how good we feel when we move and get involved in the arts and we want to invite more of you to join us on this journey.
