A workshop under the trees in King’s Park, BH1
Come and spend an afternoon with me under the trees in King’s Park giving yourself some dedicated time to breathe deeply and sink into your own experience. The workshop will allow us to move from area to area taking time to encounter nature, write reflections, breathe and walk and for a gentle Qigong and movement practice.
Here's what you need to know:
The workshop takes place in Kings Park on Thursday 18 May 2.00 - 4.00
We stroll from our meeting place at the Pavilion to a wooded area under Peter Holloway from Bournemouth Parks in Minds expert guidance, learning more about the trees and plants we see on the way.
The workshop is suitable for total beginners. The movement is gentle and lots of options are given.
Book by emailing me - details found on the image below
When we get to our workshop area under the shade of some beautiful trees, you will have a chance for some journaling individually or some reflection in pairs. We will be thinking about what growth and creativity means to us!
This will be followed by some gentle movement - I will be bringing together some flowing forms from Qigong including associated with spring and the wood element. But we will also touch on forms for the earth element which governs smooth transitions - and we are getting closer to the summer (we hope) so I might throw in a lovely summery heart-based movement to share the love! We will be moving for about 45 minutes or so
You'll need a notebook, loose, comfortable clothing and layers - we had a bright but blustery and somewhat chilly day for the last workshop (something you can sit on if you wish)
Did you know that in Qigong, spring is associated with developing your goals and a clear vision, but like seeds and saplings we need to nurture our goals gently. Spring is also associated with building resilience and the pattern of spiralling growth
